Hummus





Hummus is a middle eastern and arabic food dip made from cooked, mashed chickpeas blended with tahini, olive oil, salt, garlic.Hummus is high in iron and vitamin C , significant amount of folate and B6.

Ingredients
Boiled Chickpeas -100g or 1 bowl
Garlic Cloves-2 crushed
Olive oil- 50 ml
Tahini paste- 2 tbsp ( Recipe here - Tahini )
Ground cumin -1/2 tbsp
Salt
Chilli powder-1/2 tsp
Lemon juice-2 tbsp


Method
Place the chickpeas, garlic, tahini, cumin, salt, chilli powder, lemon juice and olive oil in a blender or processor and process until it is combined nicely.

Add little water to it if required. If hummus looks bit dry then some olive oil.

Enjoy this healthy dip with nachos, pita bread or garlic sticks.
